C.E. Gleeson Constructors is building Phase I of the Villages of Parkside redevelopment in Detroit, Michigan, a new affordable housing development at 5250 Conner Street on the city’s east side. Phase I includes 160 new residential units, made up of three four-story apartment buildings totaling 116 units and three blocks of two-story townhouses totaling 44 units, along with 120 paved parking spaces, greenspace, and upgraded landscaping.  The broader Villages at Parkside redevelopment is part of a 52-acre Detroit Housing Commission community near East Warren Avenue and Conner Street, across from Chandler Park, with DHC and Ginosko Development working to redevelop the site into a mixed-income residential community.
