DESCRIPTION

C.E. Gleeson Constructors completed the Equinox Bloomfield tenant improvement in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, transforming a former bowling alley and auto dealership into a high-end lifestyle fitness center. The 37,298-square-foot interior buildout included strength and cardio areas, yoga, Pilates, barre, cycling, group fitness studios, locker rooms, steam rooms, spa treatment rooms, pool area, café, retail shop, lounge, laundry, kids club, back-of-house spaces, and an enclosed parking garage.

Construction included new metal stud partitions, full-height acoustic wall assemblies, glass mat gypsum board, cement backer board, waterproofing membranes, concrete curbs, tile shower assemblies, rubber athletic flooring, wood flooring, porcelain tile, epoxy flooring, ACT and gypsum ceilings, ceiling coves, exposed painted structure, custom millwork, locker installations, specialty lighting, AV rough-ins, pool equipment, laundry equipment, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, telecom, and security systems.

The project required detailed field execution across wet areas, fitness studios, specialty finishes, owner-furnished equipment, and high-end hospitality-style interiors.
